Not Fists, Not Swords, Not Guns, Not Bombs

“Then Pi’late entered into the judgment hall again, and called Je’-sus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?

Je’sus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?

Pi’late answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the  chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?

Je’sus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.” (John 18:33-36)

“(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)”

(2 Corinthians 10:4)

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spir’it, which is the word of God: (Ephesians 6:10-17)

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

(Hebrews 4:12)
